Slowest Service Ever!!! There should be a sign to seat yourself instead of allowing all of the patrons to stand there looking confused at each other, and ASK who was here first instead of going to the last person that walked in the door and allowing the other parties to wait even longer to be served. And leave the menus on the tables so when the server finally comes around, we can put our order in and eat! One waitress cannot serve an entire restaurant including the counter...is she cooking the food too?! It’s a tourist town and Saturday’s are your busiest day...hire more help! We’re Hungry!!!

Dirty entrance...hair in food...2 of them...food was served just warm because there was only one server...don't order the scramble broccoli with cheese sauce...It's nasty! The sauce was powdery.

We were there on a Saturday morning. The place was nearly full and there was one server. I was impressed with his friendly and VERRY efficient manner. If he doesn't own the place, l hope they pay him well. Really great service! The food was good too.

My wife and I went here for breakfast. I got a big breakfast meal with pancakes, sausage, and bacon. My wife got an omelet meal and French toast. Both of our meals were amazing. The waiter we had was also excellent. He was attentive and very nice. I would definitely recommend going here.

Every time that I go the North Star reasturant. . I leave happy. The Food is Excellent. And the staff their is awesome. !

Great service! Everyone's breakfast was cooked to perfection and our coffee mugs were never empty. All 5 of us left as members of the "Clean Plates Club."

I don't usually do reviews but this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. We waited almost 10 minutes before anyone took our drink order. Then another 15 minutes before they brought it and finally took our meal order. The bacon was under cooked, toast very burnt, they forgot my husband's side order of sausage and never once stopped back to check if everything was ok. And the folks next to us waited even longer for their food.We were there an hour and 40 minutes just for a simple breakfast.

Food was good and friendly staff. But they seemed to be understaffed, long wait for food to arrive.

Nice local restaurant. Covered, outdoor seating. The pancakes were huge and fluffy. Order one or two unless you're starving. Sausage were well cooked. The hash and eggs with wheat toast was delicious. Ask for the hash crispy and it will be perfect.

Very good. Not huge portion. But not huge price. So that's a win. Didn't give a 5 because I ordered eggs medium and they were not done as much as I like. They were still edible tho and staff was excellent.

Great family restaurant! Very reasonable prices and good food! My family and I ate breakfast here twice because it was so good!The BEST cinnamon roll I’ve ever had! Not too gooey, not too cinnamony. Whoever thought of cutting a cinnamon roll lengthwise and then grill it and put it back together was a genius! Delicious!

Damien is a good server. Service is very slow can't imagine what a weekend crowd would deal with! Food is delicious and served hot!

Great food and service this is our go to place when we visit Alex bay

Food was good, prices okay, but cup was dirty had lipstick on it, no knife with the silverware, and the waiter was inattentive.

Excellent breakfast. Met owner, owner's daughter was waitress, best broccoli omelet EVER, attentive refills to coffee and tea. Brioche bread French toast and NOT RESORT PRICES!

Good food pleasent staff decent prices

Stop here for dinner at 7 p.m. on a Saturday evening yesterday 92119.Reasonable selection, and they were offering prime rib. A reasonable price so we decided to try it, I chose the queen cut and my wife chose a delmonico. We both asked for medium rare.. mine came out perfect and the wife's was raw. After 10 minutes we flagged the waitress and send it back to get cooked to a medium rare at least. My Prime was cooked nice but a touch stringy. When my wife Delmonico return it was cook nicely but very stringy. The waitress was very nice and apologetic. She was also overworked overtired and way past her energy potential. Overall a mixed bag, I would roll the dice and try it again, and my wife said she would not roll the dice and try it again.

Great place to eat. Limited restaurants this time of year in Alex Bay. Very nice waiters, that basically ran the whole dining area by themselves. Just sorry they were only open till 2, then shutting down and reopening on Friday later. Will definitely visit again.

Great service! Loved the perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs, and omlette. The home fries too! We had a peaceful lunch before heading out to the tourist spot and boat ride.

Nice place for breakfast

Wonderful place. Food was delicious and a lot of it. Waiter is very nice and he doesn't even need to write anything down, no matter the size of your party. Quite impressed.

Went there on 6/21 for breakfast and I wasn't impressed. Service was horrible. We sat down and it took 10 mins for a server to come over to give us a menu and take our order. Once our food was delivered the server never came back and asked us how our food was or if we needed anything. After we were done eating it took 15 mins to even get a servers attention to get out bill. The food was not very good nor worth the money we paid. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

Stopped for breakfast on our last day on Alex Bay, now wish we have stopped on our first day. Only one wait staff, Damian, and he was excellent. Didn't write anything down and it all came out just perfect. Very attentive. Everything cooked the way we liked it. Was very surprised to see Cinnamon raisin toast on the menu, one of my favorites. Very good. Reasonable prices and perfect portions.

This is our locals restaurant, where we meet for coffee and hang with our friends! Great coffee and have you tried the club sandwich? Its the best around!

Food was good, portion size was good, price was good, and service was good. No complaints from my family on our first visit here. There was only one server on while I was there but he held it down! And we never had a problem getting what we needed. Thanks you for the good meal!

We stopped here for breakfast and there was only one server. I felt bad for her- but she handled it well. I had the blueberry pancakes and they werent great, just ok.

Homemade chips were excellent, sandwichs tasty, but floor was unswept, service slow & ladies room needed service

We waited at least a half hour before our order was taken and another half hour for our food. I ordered well done home fries with onions and when the server came out she said that they, I'm assuming the cook, said to just take them out and see what they say!! After waiting that long, they couldn't even make them properly. I will never go there again!!

It took is 1 hr and 15 min to get served breakfast. Our server was great and apologetic, and we know it was t his fault, but that was crazy.

Food is standard diner food. Nothing special. Western sandwich was not good. Bread was soggy with grease from sitting for so long. I realize there is a bike show in town but we waited over an hour for our food. All three of us got stuff we didn't order or didn't get what we ordered. Had to constant remind server we needed refills. Go somewhere else. Not worth it.

One of my favorite places to get breakfast or lunch. The servers are friendly and learn your preferences, and are willing to go the extra mile to serve you. I usually have lunch food for breakfast, and I love their chicken parm sandwiches. Their breakfast food is pretty awesome as well.

We had to leave because we sat down at 10:30 and still didn’t have our food an hour and fifteen minutes later. We ordered 5 simple breakfasts. Very disorganized restaurant and we are trying to not let this ruin our day. No apologies either
